The Wing Desk is inspired by the 1950s and its period for minimalistic design. Following the Second World War, designers remained cautious with resources. This, in turn, sparked a period of sleek and simplistic design.
This desk has a tapered silhouette, inspired by the wings of an airplane. This concept draws from the 1950s when commercial passenger airlines became more accessible worldwide, due to increasingly affordable transport and advancements in aviation technology.
Description:
The desk features two hidden drawers and a standard 2 gang power socket, found on the underside for modern day use. We are able to offer alternative plug types for your geographical location.
The Wing Desk is made in England, crafted in collaboration with specialist workshops, uncompromising on material quality. All pieces are made to order.
Each piece will have unique characteristics, due to the nature of being handmade and made using natural materials.
All desks are constructed from solid hardwood and finished in a UV matt oil.
